Vanetta Busch, director for New Mexico State University’s Hazing Prevention and Organizational Development, has been named chapter board president for the Rio Grande Chapter of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources for 2025-26.
CUPA-HR’s 41 chapters provide professional development, resources and networking opportunities for human resources professionals in higher education. The volunteer board consists of higher education leaders from institutions across the Rio Grande region.
“As chapter president, I will gain experience, utilize leadership skills and advance priorities,” Busch said.
Chapter presidents provide learning opportunities, manage budgets and cultivate human resources leaders. Busch will help advance strategic priorities through events, outreach and engagement with participants.
“I first want to make sure that all Rio Grande chapters know and utilize the resources that are available from CUPA-HR,” Busch said. “Additionally, I seek to provide learning opportunities and cultivate the future of HR leaders.”
