NMSU Distinguished Lecture Series continues Feb. 16

New Mexico State University’s Nusenda Center for Financial Capability will host the second event in a four-part Distinguished Lecture Series from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, in Domenici Hall, Room 109 when Kiel Hoffman presents “Successful Banking When You Need It.”

Sponsored by Nusenda Credit Union, the free Distinguished Lecture Series is focused on broadening the financial literacy and educational experience of NMSU and the Las Cruces community.

Hoffman will discuss how to fix, build and look at your credit along with the importance of financial statements, financing your business and understanding the importance of 401(k). Hoffman also will discuss how establishing relationships will help you succeed and the importance of giving back. 

Hoffman is the Las Cruces market president for Pioneer Bank and has more than 37 years of experience in the financial industry. He serves as the chair of various boards and committees in the southern New Mexico area. 

The Nusenda Center for Financial Capability is a financial outreach and educational program administered by NMSU, and sponsored by Nusenda Credit Union as partners in education. The Nusenda Center for Financial Capability is a resource devoted to assisting NMSU students on their journey toward becoming financially successful.
