New Mexico State University celebrates another milestone in accomplishing several rankings in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Graduate Schools for 2025.
Among the top 100, the NMSU Graduate School ranked for its nurse anesthesiology program (80 tied) and social work program (95 tied). Other ranked programs included speech-language pathology (120 tied), English (120 tied), earth sciences (124 tied), physics (125 tied), mathematics (125 tied), economics (126 tied), computer science (133 tied), fine arts (135 tied), chemistry (136 tied), and part-time MBA (137 tied).
“The inclusion of several graduate programs in U.S. News & World Report for 2025 is a recognition of the high quality of instruction by faculty and excellent support provided by staff,” said Ranjit Koodali, dean of Graduate School and associate provost for International Affairs. “The rankings vary from one discipline to another and may not necessarily fully capture the efforts of NMSU centered towards affordability, accessibility and student success.”
NMSU also earned graduate school rankings for best public affairs program (144 tied), best engineering school (145 tied), public health (168 tied), psychology (180 tied), biological sciences (203 tied) and best education schools (210 tied).
The 2025 U.S. News & World Report’s edition of Best Graduate Schools features rankings of more than 7,000 degree-granting programs at over 1,100 universities. NMSU is one of more than 800 institutions with graduate schools that’s surveyed by U.S. News on an annual basis.
