New Mexico State University will test its Emergency Notification System at noon Wednesday, Feb. 7. If you have registered to receive emergency notifications, an emergency test message will be sent to you via the notification method you selected when you registered. The notifications are delivered via text messages, email and telephone calls to a cell phone or standard telephone landline.
Note: You do not need to respond to the message.
Additionally, digital signage reflects the Emergency Notification System test during this same exercise.
Registering your emergency notification information:
If you have not registered to receive emergency notifications, please do so as soon as possible at https://etm.nmsu.edu/. With the exception of your university email address, which is automatically populated by NMSU central systems, you must enter all other contact information. Please do not list the same number in multiple fields; doing so can result in multiple notifications. Please also be sure to select the campus for which you wish to receive notifications.

Please remember the following:
- After receiving an emergency test message, visit www.nmsu.edu. This is where more information will be provided in the event of an actual emergency and will also be activated for this test.
- Please do not call 911 for additional information.
- Do call 911 if you are reporting an emergency not related to the test.
- Messages are purposefully brief so people can receive them via a text message.
