The New Mexico State University Office of Experiential Learning will host the 19th annual Career Connections Fair Jan. 30-31. This two-day event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Corbett Center Student Union, third floor ballrooms.
“Career Connections is the second largest career fair of the academic year,” said Patricia Leyba, Experiential Learning director. “Employers from across the U.S. will be in attendance, such as fair sponsors: Smith Engineering, Terracon-Geotechnical and Environmental Consultants, Bradbury Stamm Construction, as well as, FDIC, Kohl’s, Los Alamos National Labs, TXDOT and many more. Employers are ready to kick off their spring recruitment season and are ready to connect with recent and upcoming graduates. Career Connections offers employers the opportunity to recruit for internship and co-op positions and full-time employment positions. We hope that NMSU students take full advantage of these career opportunities.”
Career Connections is open to all majors on both days of the event. Attendees are encouraged to attend both days.
Attendees should view the most recent list of employers in Handshake, prior to the fair, and review on-campus and virtual events held by employers leading up to the fair. Handshake is accessible on the OEL website at oel.nmsu.edu or through your my.NMSU.edu account. The website also offers employers and students additional resources to assist with recruitment and job search.
Students should dress professionally for the fair and have their resumes updated and ready to distribute during the fair. The Student Success Center assists with resume review and interview preparation.
