New Mexico State University’s Office of Experiential Learning will host the eighth annual Health Professions Fair from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 at the Corbett Center Student Union, first floor. The health care field continues to be one of the fastest and largest growing industries.
The Health Professions Fair provides students, alumni and community members with the opportunity to meet with representatives from health care agencies seeking to hire students who are interested in health care related professions. These organizations look to engage with Aggies who major in programs such as biology; human nutrition and dietetic science; family and consumer science; counseling and educational psychology; kinesiology; special education; communication disorders; nursing, public health sciences; and social work to name a few.
Students, alumni and guests can review the most recent list of employers participating via Handshake. There is no need to pre-register to attend. Handshake is accessible on the OEL website at oel.nmsu.edu or https://nmsu.joinhandshake.com/.
It is recommended that students research potential employers in advance of the career fair, dress professionally and have their resumes reviewed prior to the fair. The Student Success Center offers assistance with resume review and interview preparation. For more information on career preparation, contact Yvonne Franco or Cody Womack at 575-646-3136, or schedule an appointment via Handshake.
