UPDATE (10:30 a.m.): Triviz Drive has reopened and police activity in the area has concluded.
ORIGINAL STORY (9:30 a.m.):
New Mexico State University police are investigating a traffic collision Saturday morning in the area of Cholla Road and Triviz Drive that resulted in the death of a 32-year-old male pedestrian.
Triviz Drive is closed in both directions at this time, and police are asking motorists to avoid the area while the investigation is under way.
Police activity in the area may impact traffic for NMSU’s 1 p.m. football game against Middle Tennessee at Aggie Memorial Stadium, and fans are asked to plan for possible delays and seek alternate routes to the stadium.
NMSU PD will provide an update once the investigation has concluded and traffic in the area has returned to normal.
