The Hunt Center for Entrepreneurship at New Mexico State University’s Arrowhead Center is now accepting applications for its online GenAI Product Development Sprint accelerator, designed for tech startups based in New Mexico and the Borderplex region.
The Hunt Center for Entrepreneurship is committed to strengthening the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem by empowering diverse communities to engage in entrepreneurship, improving access to early-stage investment opportunities, and inspiring students to develop innovative products and services for the commercial market.
The accelerator empowers founders to streamline their product development lifecycle by integrating generative AI tools into various stages: from strategy and ideation to launch. Running every Thursday from Aug. 5 to Sept. 9, the program is free for participants. Applications must be submitted by Wednesday, July 25, with successful applicants notified of their acceptance by Saturday, July 28.
“The GenAI Product Development Sprint serves as an essential platform for New Mexico’s entrepreneurs, equipping them with the critical guidance needed to enhance their product strategies,” said Dana Catron, interim director and CEO of Arrowhead Center. “Through this program, participants gain not only essential AI tools and ethical best practices, but also learn how to create AI-driven product roadmaps and feature prioritization frameworks.”
Over the course of the six-week program, participants will engage in dynamic sessions that blend theoretical instruction with hands-on application, leveraging generative AI for product development success. The sprint includes interactive workshops, practical exercises and real-time feedback opportunities, helping participants implement AI-driven strategies for customer requirement analysis, competitive benchmarking and launch planning.
Sessions will incorporate a mix of lectures, group discussions, breakout activities, personalized mentoring and networking opportunities, ensuring participants develop practical AI-enhanced product development strategies. The program will also focus on automating product marketing tasks and scaling content creation while maintaining quality and authenticity.
“Our approach to the GenAI Product Development Sprint is holistic and innovative, designed to empower entrepreneurs to build product development pipelines with generative AI tools,” said Carlos Murguia, director of the Hunt Center for Entrepreneurship. “We take a comprehensive look at product strategy, providing best practices to automate feature prioritization, customer requirement analysis, and launch planning.”
This immersive, mentorship-driven framework, coupled with direct engagement with subject matter experts, equips startups with the tools and confidence needed to build a complete AI-powered product development engine with measurable return on investment.
To qualify for the GenAI Product Development Sprint, startups must be based in New Mexico or the Borderplex region or have plans to relocate to these areas. Participants are required to attend weekly two-hour virtual sessions throughout the program and demonstrate active involvement in technology-based innovation.
