New Mexico State University’s Office of Experiential Learning will host the 18th annual Employment Extravaganza Career Fair March 2. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Corbett Center Student Union, first floor, on NMSU’s Las Cruces campus. Employers looking to recruit talented candidates are invited to attend and can register via Handshake.
This year’s Employment Extravaganza event provides candidates and numerous public and private employers a platform for recruitment through in-person interaction. In addition, it provides NMSU students the opportunity to connect with potential employers recruiting for internships and co-ops or possible volunteer and community service opportunities. Employers in need of these alternative experiential opportunities are invited to attend. Some of the employers scheduled to attend this year’s Employment Extravaganza include Northwestern Mutual-Albuquerque, Southern New Mexico Workforce Connections, BNSF Railway, Glorieta Camps, National Distributing Company and Public Service Company of New Mexico among others.
This event is open to all current NMSU students and alumni as well as the general public. Candidates wishing to attend are not required to pre-register, however they are encouraged to pre-register on Handshake and view the most current list of employers attending the fair. Handshake is accessible on the OEL website at oel.nmsu.edu.
It is recommended that students research potential employers in advance and dress professionally for the fair. Resumes should be up to date and ready to distribute during the fair.
