New Mexico State University’s Office of Experiential Learning will host two major events this fall to support students exploring graduate education opportunities.
The first Graduate Programs Showcase, dedicated exclusively to NMSU graduate and professional programs, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30. The following day, Wednesday, Oct. 1, OEL will host the 27th annual Graduate and Professional School Fair, where schools from across the nation will be in attendance. This event also is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Both events will take place at Corbett Center Student Union, first floor in Aggie Lounge.
More than 20 graduate and professional schools are scheduled to participate, giving NMSU students, alumni and the public the opportunity to speak directly with representatives about admission requirements, financial aid and program offerings.
Confirmed schools for Oct. 1 include Arizona State University Thunderbird School of Global Management, Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine, College of Saint Mary, University of New Mexico School of Management, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, University of Colorado Denver, St. Mary’s University, University of Puget Sound and University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, among others. Professional programs represented include law, medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy, veterinary medicine and other specialized areas of study.
A full schedule of workshops and information sessions is available on Handshake. Participants may view the list of attending schools and register for the fair by logging into Handshake. Students, alumni and guests must create a Handshake account to access the virtual fair. Handshake also can be accessed through the OEL website.
Students are encouraged to research potential graduate and professional schools in advance to make the most of these events.
