The Senior Walk at New Mexico State University is a tradition that celebrates graduating students and the conclusion of their time on campus. The event will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 24 at Miller Gates outside of Skeen Hall.
The NMSU and Las Cruces communities are invited to cheer on those students as they walk from the Horseshoe, up International Mall and end at the Pan American Center.
“Just as the First Year Walk marks the beginning of an Aggie’s journey, Senior Walk symbolizes the end of that journey,” said Andrew Pantoja, a graduating senior and Student Involvement and Leadership Programs staff member who coordinated the event. “Graduating Aggies gather at Miller Gates to reflect on the memories and experiences that have shaped their time at NMSU. From there, the class will walk through the iconic Miller Gates and make their way to the Pan American Center, where they’ll enjoy giveaways and free food.”
NMSU’s Student Involvement and Leadership Programs hosts the Senior Walk.
“Hosting both Aggie First Year Walk and the Senior Walk is a meaningful way to celebrate the full circle of the Aggie experience,” Pantoja said. “Together, these traditions create a strong sense of community, pride and connection not just to the university, but to generations of Aggies past and future.”
