Carley Casey has worn many hats at NMSU. A full-time staff member since 2020, Casey has worked across multiple departments and currently serves as the chief of staff for the NMSU Board of Regents, a role she began earlier this year. She also teaches an in-person Dance Appreciation course and serves as the adviser for Ballet Folklórico Orgullo de Nuevo México and Mariachi Orgullo de Nuevo México.
As the regents’ chief of staff, Casey handles the board’s day-to-day operations and acts as a liaison between NMSU’s administration and the regents. Before moving to the Office of the Regents, she previously worked as a project support specialist for Institutional Effectiveness.
“I love getting to see our students thrive and how we get to make an impact on our community,” Casey said. “My goal is to always help to ensure the students can find success and achieve their goals.”
Casey is a proud two-time NMSU graduate. She earned a Bachelor of Art in dance with a focus in contemporary dance in 2017 and a Master of Business Administration in 2019. As a student, she worked for the President’s and Provost’s Offices as well as the Associated Students of NMSU.
